Vintage Dresden Plate Quilt | Circa 1930s–1940s

A cheerful little piece of American quilting history. Dating to approximately the 1930s–1940s, this vintage Dresden Plate quilt features hand-appliquéd floral medallions made from a charming mix of Depression-era-style cotton prints. Soft lavender, faded pink, buttery yellow, and pops of emerald green come together against a creamy white background, finished with a wonderfully unexpected mustard-gold border.

Each Dresden flower is individually assembled from rounded fabric petals, with beautiful hand quilting adding texture and character throughout. A sweet example of early American quiltmaking, full of the color, craftsmanship, and perfectly imperfect charm we love.

Thoughtfully repurposed into a one-of-a-kind Hadley Grove quilt jacket, giving this vintage textile a new chapter to be loved and worn for years to come.
This quilt is thin, and has very little loft. The backing is a beautiful cream.

The shawl collar allows for several different style options. This jacket is meant to be worn right side up or upside down.

Fit features slouchy shoulders and a generous drape.

As an example, I am 5'7 and wear the classic, while a petite will work best for those 5'4 and smaller :)
