Antique Lone Star Quilt
circa 1880–1910 | Hand-Pieced & Hand-Quilted Cotton
A beautiful example of American quiltmaking, this antique Lone Star quilt features an extraordinary eight-pointed star radiating across a rich cranberry-red ground. Meticulously pieced diamonds in indigo blue, dusty rose, burgundy, and warm tobacco brown create a dramatic, almost kaleidoscopic composition.
Also known as the Star of Bethlehem, this traditional pattern showcases the precision and artistry of its unknown maker. Delicate printed cottons and hand-quilted stitching lend texture and character to this remarkable textile, preserving a piece of American domestic history.
An enduring example of early American craftsmanship, made all the more special by its bold color and timeless geometric design.
This quilt is thick, and has quite a bit of loft. The backing is a beautiful cream.
The shawl collar allows for several different style options. This jacket is meant to be worn right side up or upside down.
Fit features slouchy shoulders and a generous drape.
As an example, I am 5'7 and wear the classic, while a petite will work best for those 5'4 and smaller :)
