Grandmother’s Flower Garden Quilt
American, circa 1930–1950
Hand-pieced and hand-quilted cotton

A charming interpretation of the traditional Grandmother’s Flower Garden pattern, this vintage quilt features colorful hexagonal rosettes scattered across a soft ivory ground. Delicate floral prints in shades of pink, lavender, blue, and green mingle with unexpected pops of cobalt and raspberry. Carefully hand-pieced and quilted, with a softly scalloped edge and pink binding, this piece reflects the resourcefulness, artistry, and joyful color sensibility of American quilt-making during the early-to-mid twentieth century.

This quilt is thin, and has only a bit of loft. The backing is a beautiful cream.

The shawl collar allows for several different style options. This jacket is meant to be worn right side up or upside down.

Fit features slouchy shoulders and a generous drape.

As an example, I am 5'7 and wear the classic, while a petite will work best for those 5'4 and smaller :)

Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
