Vintage Double Wedding Ring Quilt Jacket | c. 1930s–1940s
A little piece of history, made to be worn.
This beautiful vintage quilt dates to approximately the 1930s–1940s and features the beloved Double Wedding Ring pattern, a design traditionally associated with love, marriage, and the joining of lives.
Tiny pieces of colorful cotton in faded pinks, blues, greens, and yellows form interlocking rings, joined by deep red squares against a soft, timeworn ivory background. The intricate patchwork, beautiful quilting, and perfectly imperfect character make this one especially lovely.
The Double Wedding Ring became particularly popular during the Great Depression, when quilters often made use of treasured fabric scraps to create something both beautiful and practical.
Now thoughtfully reimagined as a one-of-a-kind Hadley Grove quilt jacket, giving this nearly century-old textile a new chapter.
An heirloom, made for everyday wear.
One of a kind, full of character, and made to be loved all over again.
This quilt is thin, but has nice loft. The backing is a beautiful white.
The shawl collar allows for several different style options. This jacket is meant to be worn right side up or upside down.
Fit features slouchy shoulders and a generous drape.
As an example, I am 5'7 and wear the classic, while a petite will work best for those 5'4 and smaller :)
