One of a Kind | Vintage Quilt, c. 1930s–1940s

A little piece of patchwork history, reimagined for everyday wear.

Made from a beautifully timeworn vintage Jacob’s Ladder quilt, this one-of-a-kind jacket features colorful, winding ladders of tiny patchwork squares in faded reds, soft pinks, cornflower blues, and sage greens.

Thought to date to the 1930s–1940s, the original quilt is a delightful mix of vintage florals, ginghams, stripes, and calicos, all set against a soft ivory background. A charming red floral border adds the sweetest finishing touch.

Lovingly pieced generations ago and given a second life in our Colorado studio, this jacket celebrates the beauty of old textiles and the stories they carry. Entirely one of a kind, just as it should be.

This quilt is thin, but has nice loft. The backing is a beautiful white.

The shawl collar allows for several different style options. This jacket is meant to be worn right side up or upside down.

Fit features slouchy shoulders and a generous drape.

As an example, I am 5'7 and wear the classic, while a petite will work best for those 5'4 and smaller :)

Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
