Bespoke: You pick the size! Choose either Classic fit or Petite.
This quilt is a classic example of the enduring Irish Chain pattern, constructed here from small four-patch units arranged to form a delicate diagonal chain across a soft white ground. The composition reflects both tradition and ingenuity, with the maker drawing from a variety of printed cotton scraps—many likely repurposed from feedsacks—common during the resource-conscious years of the Great Depression.
The palette of faded reds, blues, and occasional soft pastels, paired with the improvisational placement of prints, gives the quilt a distinctly personal and domestic character. The hand quilting, worked in an allover curving fan or wave motif, adds gentle movement and texture, contrasting beautifully with the geometric precision of the pieced blocks. It is such a sweet quilt!! *this quilt was finished in 2015, and is in great shape.
This quilt is light, and has just a bit of loft and is extremely soft. The backing is a beautiful creamy white. If you have further questions, please direct message us and we are happy to send you a video.
The shawl collar allows for several different style options. This jacket is meant to be worn right side up or upside down.
Fit features slouchy shoulders and a generous drape.
As an example, I am 5'7 and wear the classic, while a petite will work best for those 5'4 and smaller :)
